SMPS Hawaii holds an event each month alternating between Lunch programs and casual Lunch+Learns. Our Lunch Programs are held at the Plaza Club and educational Lunch+Learns (bring your own lunch) are held at AIA Honolulu. We offer AIA Continuing Education credits for many of our events.

SOQ Smackdown: Creating Winning Proposals


SMPS Hawaii and ACEC Hawaii will bring you “exclusive” insights on preparing your company’s Statement of Qualifications (SOQs).  This no holds barred presentation will go over past SOQ examples of the “good”, the “bad”, and will provide recommendations for improving your submittal and improve your chances for selection.

Our panel of reviewers will include Mark Yonamine and Walter Billingsly from the City and County of Honolulu, and Chris Kinimaka from the State of Hawaii.  Moderating our panel will be Gary Coover, author of Secrets of the Selection Committee and Owner of Coover Consultants. 

This special joint program will be held at the Honolulu Country Club.


AIA/CES LU:  This event is approved for 1.0 hour.
