Bird's Eye View: Using Drones in AEC Marketing

Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS), commonly referred to as drones, are everywhere and the potential to incorporate the use of drones in marketing is nearly limitless.  With their ability to see projects from a completely different perspective, drones are able to convey a broader story than traditional standard marketing techniques.  In this panel presentation we will discuss:

  • Wading through the new rules and regulations governing drone use
  • How firms are augmenting their design and construction offerings through drones
  • Examples of how companies are using drone footage to market their capabilities and win new work

Moderated by Mark Tawara, Principal/Owner, Manageability LLC, our panel of experts features seasoned sUAS pilots with knowledge and experience on operating drones legally and ethically. Our panelists include:  Pratt Kinimaka, Principal, AEC Drones LLC, Christopher Baze, BIM Manager, Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company; Kevin Funasaki, Senior Associate, Bowers + Kubota Consulting; and Dale Keep, Business Development Manager, Layton Construction Company.
