What Your Clients Aren't Telling You But Want You To Know

    (Speaker Panel UPDATE)

Why are you losing work and losing clients? What can you do to increase your effectiveness and improve your win rate?

We’ve assembled a panel of clients who tell it like it is and don’t sugarcoat the truth. You will learn what pet peeves they have when it comes to professional service marketing, what mistakes to avoid, and how to win more business. They won’t hold back; they will tell you what you need to hear (not what you want to hear).

Our panel will include: Jan S. Gouveia, Vice President of Administration of the University of Hawaii; Dennis Maher, Director of Facilities and Security at Trump International Hotel Waikiki and Peter Shaindlin, Chief Operating Officer of Halekulani Corporation.  Howard J. Wolff will act as the moderator.

Jan S. Gouveia is vice president for administration at UH, responsible for overseeing and managing system-wide operational programs in procurement, real property and risk management, capital improvements, human resources, and internal and external communications. In this capacity, she oversees all capital improvement projects at the University and the selection of A/E/C firms. Ms. Gouveia has more than 18 years of administrative and leadership experience in the public and private sectors. She has previously held cabinet level positions in state government, served as chief legal counsel for the Honolulu Board of Water Supply, and was the inaugural director of risk management at UH.

Dennis Maher is the Director of Facilities and Security for Trump International Hotel™ Waikiki. Mr. Maher has over 19 years in Facilities and Security Management and is also an active member of the Board of Directors for the Home Owners Association at Trump Waikiki.  Mr. Maher is also very active in the hospitality industry, currently serving as President of the Board of the Engineers Advisory Council for the Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association as well as Vice President for the Hawaii Hotel Visitor Industry Security Association.

Peter Shaindlin is Chief Operating Officer of Halekulani Corporation. An internationally recognized cultural critic and active worldwide keynote speaker on luxury-related topics, he is a visiting fellow and research scholar at University of Oxford. A visionary in the global luxury hospitality industry, Mr. Shaindlin has gained professional recognition in a career spanning four decades. Prior to joining Halekulani Corporation, Mr. Shaindlin was founding principal of Lotus Luxury Group, vice president for Rosewood Hotels and Resorts and oversaw food and beverage operations at the Headquarters of the United Nations as assistant general manager. He is a critical voice when it comes to the selection of architects, engineers, designers and contractors for work at Halekulani and the Waikiki Parc Hotel.

Howard J. Wolff, founder and most senior person at Full-Height Advice, Inc., has helped numerous architects, designers and contractors build their brand and expand their business. He is the recipient of the highest honor bestowed by SMPS: The Weld Coxe Marketing Achievement Award. A published author and sought-after speaker, Howard helped build WATG into the number one hospitality design firm in the world and increased their business tenfold.
